This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who uses Evaident. It exists to keep the service secure, reliable and lawful for all customers. Breaching it may lead to suspension or termination under our Terms of Service.
1. Prohibited uses
- Breaking the law, infringing others' rights, or helping anyone else do so.
- Uploading malware, attempting to gain unauthorised access, probing or circumventing our security or rate limits, or interfering with other customers' use of the service.
- Reverse-engineering, scraping or reselling the service except as permitted by law or your subscription.
- Submitting data you have no lawful basis to submit, or using the service to unlawfully monitor individuals.
- Using the service to build a competing product, or to benchmark it for a competitor, without our written consent.
2. Fair use of capacity
- Plans include reasonable limits on connected sources, events, gateway throughput, retention and storage as described on the pricing page or your order. The gateway and APIs are rate-limited to protect the service.
- Automated or programmatic use must stay within published limits and must not degrade the service for others. We may apply throttling, fair-use quotas or additional charges where usage materially exceeds normal patterns for your plan.
- We will use reasonable efforts to contact you before taking action over capacity, except where urgent action is needed to protect the service.
3. Security and responsible disclosure
Do not test, scan or attempt to exploit the service without authorisation. If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to security@evaident.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to remediate before any disclosure.
4. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected breaches and may suspend or restrict access — including removing offending content or disabling a source — where necessary to protect the service, our customers or third parties. Where practical and lawful we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy.
5. Reporting
To report misuse of the service, contact hello@evaident.com.
